Music

What is music? Is music entertainment? Is it calming when you are mad? Is music comforting when you are down? Music is all of these things and more. To me music is like a way to live. If i am having a bad day and don't want to talk to anyone it helps me calm down. For the days when I have had enough of everyone and want to yell or hit something it calms me. If I just want to have some time to get away from everything going on around me I just listen to music. Without music I would be lost and I am sure that I am not the only one in the world that music helps. I would like to thank all the musicians who had the courage to get up and make records. Even if they don't know they are doing it they might be helping someone who has a bad life. not that I have a bad life because I don't. Even though I love my family to death and would do pretty much anything for them. They drive me crazy sometimes but they are my family that is what family is supposed to do. Even if they drive me crazy I know they still love me, but for those moments when I feel like I can't take anymore I just start listening to music and it seems to help. Some people turn to drinking or drugs to get away from their problems. Do you know how I know that doing that does not help? Not from experience but  because if it did help them they would not continuously do it.  That is why we have so many drunks and drug addicts in the world. They should try listening to music maybe then our world would be better off if everyone either got the courage to confront their problems or listen to music until they calm down and start thinking straight again. I bet our world would have less dead people, less people in the hospital, and less people with divorces. There would be less unhappy people in the world. Next time you are going to do something stupid stop and think is there a better way to calm down? Ask yourself do i really want to deal with the repercussions of punching this person in the face? I  think we as people would be able to reach our full potential if we would just stop and think about our actions before we do them. This is why we should listen to music as a stress reliever or just a part of therapy. Walking also helps.

  1. I know for one thing, music keeps me going. It is a great escape to go to after a chaotic or long day. Sometimes you just have to get away from everything and this is what I go to relax. Oh, if it wasnt for you, music, where would I be?
