My Snow Vacation: Creative Writing (Part one)

I was babysitting my little sister over the Great Snow Vacation. When we went outside to play and throw snowballs at our neighbors. We had been outside for a few hours when we heard a noise. I asked my neighbor if she had heard the sound. She said she hadn't so we continued building our "war wall" to protect us from her brother. He was the enemy, for now he was anyway.
The teams were my sister, neighbor, and of course myself against Dan (my neighbor's brother). We were preparing our snowballs; when all of a sudden a young adolescent snow leopard jumped out of the snow at us. I put my sister behind me to protect her from the leopard. She had icy blue eyes and kind of shimmered like she was in between two worlds.
She started loping through the snow disappearing and reappearing in the snowy abyss. We decided to follow the leopard just because it looked friendly. We decided to name her Fuzzy. She lead us over snow covered hills and under snowy trees until we got to a bridge.
Fuzzy continued under the great Chinatown bridge. A magnificent purple light shown when Fuzzy stepped into it. She disappeared with the light. Pemberly, my sister, and I all looked at each other. Then we did something some would call stupid..........We followed Fuzzy. One minute we were next to the bridge and the next we were swallowed up by blinding purple light all around us.
The next thing we knew there was a endless pink and blue avalanche of snow in one corner, and a cloud snowing all the colors of the rainbow in the other corner of the new unknown world.
Suddenly my best friend, Claire, came out of a purple light similar to the one we had just came through not minutes before.
"Claire!" I screamed and went running. What are you doing here? How did you get here? Where is here?
"Liera, Calm down! You are rambling again."
I'm sorry this is just so so so exciting.
I know it is I followed a snow leopard I named Frosty. I have no clue where we are and I have no clue how we got here.

How To Talk to Customer Service Agents

At least once in life you will need to call a customer service agent. Most people get angry. I am here to help you have fun with customer service and not get mad!

Step One: Find the phone number, your cell phone, and a friend (these things always go better with a few buddies to laugh with).

Step Two: Call the number, put it on speaker and await an answer. While waiting have a conversation about the most random things that way when the people finally answer after having you on hold for twenty minutes they think you are crazy (and talking to yourself).

Step Three: If you don't immediately know the answer to a question or can not understand the person on the other end, give the phone to a friend and let them talk to the person when the voice changes see if they respond. If the voice changes from a girl to a guy and they are still pretending to be named Isadora (it is funny at least to you).

Step Four: When the phone loses service and you have to call back to ask the same question  again and again the customer service person finally asks if they just talked to you. When you have been talking to them on and off for two hours.

Step Five: When they still can't help you and send you to someone else and they say they will get back to you DO NOT BELIEVE them they most likely will not figure out what the issue was.

This is how you talk to customer service people I hope it helps you with your anger towards them. It really can be very entertaining.

Bangkok Curfew for Tourists

Have you ever wanted to go to Bangkok? If so then this will tell you now is not the right time. Bangkok was taken over by military, who made the law that tourists along with everyone else have to be back at home (or hotel) by 10:00 P.M.
This is the time of year for Coup, but the military is trying to stop it from happening this year. The people are not just doing what they are told. They are keeping clubs open later, just to see what will happen. So far it is working and hopefully the curfew will be changed to either midnight or 4.
Hundreds of tourists from all over have cancelled their hotel reservations this week alone. Even singer Taylor Swift canceled a SOLD OUT show. Which she was supposed to put on June 9. Over 40 countries including USA and Hong Kong are warning people to only travel there if it is absolutely necessary. People are afraid civil war might break out. I just have one question. Why can't we all get along?

A Thought on Cubicles

We all have those fears. You know, the ones where you don't think the elevator will open? Or the ones where your swimming underwater and you think someone will be above you, blocking your source of air?
Well this is kind of like that.We would like to tell you about cubicles. Cubicles include your own personal claustrophobic space, with walls. So about the fear... They take away your sense of freedom and make you wish that you were more successful when you go back to your high school reunion. While the rest of your old classmates are out there living life, working as doctors and lawyers, living on the side of the lake in a mansion with a dog, cat, bird, and maybe a  Jesus Lizard kept in the three story library, you will be working in a cubicle. You will be living in an apartment, three months behind on your bills, with a leaky refrigerator that screams at you all night long. Your neighborhood will consist of cracked pavement and broken windows emitting muggy drafts through the breaks in the glass.
So do you kind of get our point now? Well you're not going to get away that easily. So back to the cubicles. You are sitting there and there is that one guy. The guy who has the nasty, terrible cough of death. You don't want to sit near them. The longer you sit there, the more you want to leave. You see gray all around you. Gray is all you can think of. The air is hot and it is hard to breathe because the walls feel like they are closing in on you. You hear telephones ringing all day long and hundreds of fingers tapping on keyboards. Ring ring ring...tap tap tap....ring ring ring.... tap tap tap.
Staring at the clock minute by minute, the day is lugging by. You are awaiting your only escape of the day, which is a twenty minute lunch and most of it is spent on fighting over the microwave. You constantly think, why? Why did I do this to myself and not pay attention in high school?
Now think about what you thought before reading this blog on cubicles. Did it make you change your perspective on them, or are you that one guy who is headed down that road? But if you actually work in a cubicle and are reading this, we feel your pain and are sorry if it comes across as offensive. We did not mean it that way.

Dog Befriends Disabled Kitten

Ralphee (the kitten) was born with a neurological disorder. She was born with cerebellar hypoplasia, or CH. that means her cerebellum was not completely mature at birth, a problem that will not get worse but it wont get better either. Her cerebellum controls her fine motor skills and coordination. The disorder however did not stop Max (the dog) from befriending her immediately and following her everywhere. Ralphee shares in Max's friendship she gets excited when he is nearby and leaps into the air before playfully charging in his direction. Ralphee is not letting her disability get in her way, and neither is Max.

Health Science Class

There are a lot of skills to learn in the health field. If you don't learn to do those skills properly then you might miss if something is wrong with someone or maybe you will tell them there is something wrong when there's not. People might get tired of learning, but the way medicine is practiced changes every day. Medicine and technology is evolving and we have to evolve with it. Especially doctors and nurses. Think of it this way, would you want a doctor or a nurse working on you who didn't finish medical school or who skipped most days to go party? How about someone who can't pass the state board exam? I don't know about you, but I want someone who knows what they are doing to be my doctor or nurse. Think about this, they have to know how to take blood pressure (if they do it wrong then you can get hurt), height, weight, blood, if you have anything abnormal with you, then they can help you in finding out what's wrong. Would you want someone who couldn't do any of that to be a medical practitioner? I know I don't.

Accidental Boarder Crossing

A United States Marine was driving in his truck with three legally purchased guns when he accidentally crossed the boarder into Mexico. Tahmooressi was arrested and jailed for the misunderstanding. He is being held in a jail in Mexico. Tahmooressi is supposed to report to a Civil Affairs Group in Florida for the Marines, but he is still locked up. If Tahmooressi doesn't get out before he is supposed to report to Florida he will most likely get discharged for not showing up. Tahmooressi has served two tours in Afghanistan for the United States. He even suffered PTSD upon his return. Tahmooressi said he had no intentions of running or deserting. He attempted to escape for the jail in Tijuana and was then transferred to a federal penitentiary in Tecate, Mexico. A petition to make Obama intervene in the case has been started.
