What Happened to me Today

Today I went on a field trip. What is a field trip? Some would say that they are only to get you out of classes for a few hours. Some people think they are for learning and others say that they are for fun.I guess there is no real answer to the question because field trips are for all types of reasons.  My field trip today was for learning. I had fun and learned while we were at Gaston College. Even though our field trip was kind of disorganized and we all ended up at the same restaurant.  I believe the only thing that mattered was that we learned and had fun while we were at it. That put together is a very successful day in my opinion. While I was separated from all of my friends because our last names are so far apart in the alphabet. I still managed to learn and have a really great day. Some of us got to see each other at the restaurant. Some people were on the field trip for the wrong reasons, but because I was separated from all of my friends I met some new acquaintances that I normally would not have given the time of day. If we would have not been separated I would not have gotten the chance to meet those people and I would not have leaned what I learned about some of the people. Like some people are not as bad as they seem to be. As humans more often than not we look at someone and decide without meeting them if they are someone that we want to meet or be friends with. So in my opinion I think that field trips are for meeting people that we have never met, new learning experiences, and just having a good day with people you may know or just people you have seen in passing in the hallway. I believe field trips are an important part of life, and we should have them. Whether it is taking a trip to Washington DC or going to a college career day fair. We should have field trips.
