Family

My family is the most important thing to me. Just recently one of my friends got added to my family. It is a complicated story, but he is basically my new cousin. Telling you about my family would take way to long, because it is a very complex story and if I were to type it I would be here all night. My family is probably not as close as most, but that is probably because it is so big. I mean I have never even met most of them. This weekend I have seen my new cousin and aunt more than I have seen most of my family in a long time. I have not seen most of my family since I move away almost four years ago. I miss them dearly, but I know in my heart that I will see them again one day. Some parts of my family I have not seen since they got married when I was in elementay school. My uncle got married and then one of my aunts got married. Then she moved to Michigan. Now she has a kid, and I have not seen her since her wedding so I have not got to meet her kid. The day after we moved one of my many cousins got married and she was pregnant so that is another family member that I never got to meet. One of my aunts ,who I used to be close with before we moved, got married two years ago. I missed her wedding to, but what is worse is that in the four years since we moved I think I have talked to her on the phone once. The week before we moved my other aunt had a baby. I got to meet her twice before we moved. I have missed her growing up, because the day we left was the last day I got to see her. If one of them called me now and needed me even through all the problems we have had I would be there for them. The point is that even through everything that has happened they are still my family and I love them. Even though my friend is only new to our family he is still family now and I will always consider him family, because your family is your family no matter how far apart you are or how long it has been since you talked to them.

  2. Yes, our families are very important and it's obvious that your family mean a lot to you. Maybe you could write letters to your aunt and tell her about where you're at in your life. Thank you for sharing your heartfelt thoughts.
